On Monday we moved the office to another house that's a bit more far away. The amount of stuff that we had to move and load into the truck was incredible! Thankfully I didn't have to un-load it too. The good thing was that we cleaned up a lot, cleaned up as in throwing away everything that they didn't need any more. That storage room had so many things inside! Lot's of unused blenders, trays of all shapes, colors and sizes made by my brother, tools, bowls, keyboards, an old Lexmark printer, well basically, anything. By the end of the day the truck had traveled 7 times to the new place, and it still wasn't enough because they made a few more on Tuesday.

Yesterday I didn't have to go to work (Thank God!! Because my arms and legs were destroyed!) so today was the first time I went to the new place since they made all the renovations. Since it's a bit more far away and less accessible than the other one I went by train. TRAIN! I never take the train. Never, ever. Ever. Seriously. I don't like it very much, that's one of the reasons, and the other one is because I never needed to use it before. Usually I can get anywhere by bus. But this time I have the train station just a block away from home and then from the train station to the office I have 4/5 more blocks. And it's faster AND chipper than the bus. In this case, the train outweighs it completely.

I was on the phone with my mom this morning, asking her where I had to get off the train and in which direction I had to go from the station. In my head I thought that the trains that went, went in the right direction and trains that came, well, came from the left direction.

Here's a little drawing to explain my thinking. See, in Argentina traffic goes through the right lanes and comes through the left ones, that's why I thought it was like that with trains.

So when my mom and I were on the phone...

Mom: When you get off the train you'll have to walk to the bridge and cross to the other side of the station and-
Sofi: Wait. I don't understand. *scratches head*
Mom: You have to get OFF the train and cross  to the other side.
Sofi: why? Isn't the office to the right?
Mom: Yes.
Sofi: Then why I have to cross to the other side? Doesn't the train leave me on the right side?

Apparently I was getting the wrong picture in my head because in reality the direction of the trains work like this:

This way, the train leaves me on the left side so it made sense what my mom was telling me. Still, I didn't understand.

Mom: The train leaves you on the left side.
Sofi: How come?
Mom: Oh, God! The English made our rail roads, remember? They builded them!! That's why the directions are different.
Sofi: Oooh...right...I didn't thought about that.

So, what I'm trying to say here is that since late 1800's and early 1900's when the English build our rail roads, we never changed it back and adopted those directions. Or, all trains are like that? Great. Now I'm confused >:(

Two days in a row that I talk about the English! Yesterday we were discussing all this conflict with the Malvinas Islands (Or as the English pple call them, Faulkland Islands). But that's a completely different issue that I don't want to talk about. At least here because even I don't know where I stand. I mean, I do know where I stand and that's why I don't want to talk about it.

um...why would you think that?

We were having some tea this afternoon with my mom and I was reading a magazine when I spotted an ad for Parenthood. So I was like "oh look, Parenthood! This is Lauren Graham's new tv show!" (mom and I used to watch Gilmore Girls religiously so she knows her very well). As I told her what Parenthood is about, I added that it has a storyline about a kid with Asperger. She obviously didn't know what that meant so I tried to explain her. Long story short I also told her about that article that came out when Parenthood was premiering about characters on tv with Asperger. Where Sheldon from Bing Bang Theory and Brennan were mentioned. It was partly funny because she also thought that I was telling her that Emily had asperger. I mean, HOW COULD SHE!!? I don't even know what made her think of that. I only told her that Brennan had asperger, I didn't even mentioned Emily in any way! this diserves a big LOL.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive. Just a bit lazy. Okay, A LOT LAZY! Tomorrow I begin classes again. Math at 9 am. Awesome.

I feel extremely exhausted because I worked from 1 pm to 11 pm and came rushing back home to d/l the episode (and I have to thank my mom because she followed my instructions via phone to start the download). And now it's 2:03 am.

You guys, really, I'm gonna die. If it weren't for the excitement I also feel, and the adrenaline. Seriously since when an episode can make me feel so weird? I couldn't stop squeeing through the WHOLE FREAKING THING!! That past!kiss makes my stomach flip-flop every single time I re-watch it. This is so unfair. There was tongue contact? Seriously Brennan? I mean... COME ON!!

I'm so happy with this episode you have no idea. It's incredible! And at first I was like 'yeah sure, they are going to suck big time with trying to put Caroline in it and Cam, CAM?!?!!' But man, they shut me up. For realz. They fitted every thing so well! These people are genius. God, I'm so glad I'm a fan of this show. I should totally see the pilot now.

And the ending...my God...we are so going to suffer from now on. We deserve it. And they were right, this episode IS going to change their relationship and take it to a whole new level. I was skeptical at first because it was not the first time they said that (ie. The End in the Beginning), but this time it was true. This is EPIC. You hear me? read me? EPIC!! E-P-I-C!!!!!1!1!!

Booth has to move on...Brennan is afraid...I just don't know what to say. And I mean, really, I don't know what to say. I'm astonished. I can't think straight right now. They love each other and they didn't denied it. Brennan, why won't you trust Booth a little bit more it's out of my comprehension. He's the gambler, god please just listen to him!! It broke my heart. That scene, is history guys!

Angela, Hodgins (and his 'fro), Zack!, Sweets, Cam, Caroline...they were all great, amazing, incredible. It's just that I don't have any more battery to comment on them. I think I'm going to go and sleep. If I can, because with all this excitement inside of me I think it's going to be somehow complicated. Though Bones' rerun is airing in 40 minutes so who knows... (The Dentist in the Ditch, that is).

First things first. It's CINCO de Mayo. Not CINQO de Mayo. ;)

Second, nope. Argentina celebrates their Independence on May 25th. Oh wait, you were asking if I celebrate it at all...well yes. Specially this year since it's been 200 years. Yay! (?)

And LJ did it again. It erased two perfectly written paragraphs that now I don't know if I'll be able to re-write in the same way.

I know I haven't been around lately but I think you already know that besides Bones, my other passion/addiction/thing I'm crazy about is Linkin Park. And that's what this post is about, because on October 7th I finally got to see them live after 9 years of excruciating wait. Not only that, I met the mother fuckers. Something I still can't believe, even if practically a month and a half has gone by.

So, first things first. I officially began listening, really listening, them in 2002. It was a thing of hate/love with them. During December 2001 I met my now best friends, and one of them used to listen to Points of Authority on and on every single day. I eventually got sick of it and just hated the song whenever I heared it. Months later I saw the Making of Somewhere I Belong vid and I remember I thought... "man that guy looks like a total nerd," referring to Chester who at that time wore glasses. I saw Crawling video live a few times on tv but still they weren't catching my attention. I don't know when or why I did the click, but one day I woke up loving them. And guys, it has been one of the best decision that I ever made.

Ever since I became a serious fan of them my greatest dream was to see them live. To get to meet them. I remember I used to draw the [LP] logo on the corner of my classroom's blackboard. My classmates hated it. My mom knows the lyrics to most of their songs. I also used them as the subject of my speech for my IGCSE oral exam back in 2006, which was pretty cool since I didn't have to memorize anything, already every single detail of them was stuck in my head like a mantra. Even they helped me with my english, by learning their lyrics and looking up every word I didn't understand (you can't imagine the amount of vocabulary I learned by listening to them). So awesome. I owe them so so so much. Fun fact: Back in 2007 when Minutes to Midnight was about to be released, I had a countdown on my msn nickname, so that day, May 14th, I ran into one of my classmates on my way to school and when she saw me she said "Happy Birthday Sofi!!" and I was like, "uhm..thanks but it's not my birthday :)" and I explained her that it was the release date of LP's new record. LOL. She felt like an idiot. Well, she WAS an idiot, 13 years being classmates and she couldn't even remember my birthday? -_-

In 2004 they ended the Meteora (their second album) World Tour in Brazil, without playing in any other South American country. Then three years later they put out Minutes to Midnight and they didn't even played in Brazil. That tour went down like this: Germany, Japan, Germany, Japan, Germany, Germany, England, Australia, some more of Japan and Germany and of course, US. Maybe I'm exaggerating but you get the point. I love them and I love their music so when they announced they were back in the studio making a new record in 2008 I was very excited. My hope always was in the next record. You should have seen me screaming when I read the news that they were playing here, and the first show of the A Thousand Suns Tour nonetheless!! By that time I had kinda lost a bit of hope on them, because about a month before the the announcement (that was on July 24th), they had already confirmed dates on Chile and Brazil...so I was beginning to think that they were going to
skip us shamelessly. But nope. And thank god they didn't because I would have been so mad at them!

In 2006 I convinced my brother (who lives in Miami) to pay me the annual membership of the LPUnderground (their official fan club) because I knew that someday they would come to play here and I wanted to be one of the lucky bastards who got to meet them. And I also wanted the t-shit, cd, guitar pick and fun stuff that annually came with the package. Four years of membership later, they came here. BUT, It wasn't that easy. The first perk I had, had to do with pre-sale tickets that came out 2 months before the show. It was too early to talk about a Meet&Greet, so I just sat tight and waited. Waited, waited, and waited some more. Even if a Meet&Greet was happening it was no guarantee that I would be in it because supposedly not every LPU member attending the show got in, they randomly select an amount of members depending on how many they are in that city. So I knew I had a big chance since only 20 LPU'ers were attending this show. Still, I didn't wanted to get over-confident. And guess what? Three days before the show I got an email from the LPheadquarters telling me that I had been selected to attend the M&G right before the show. I was over the moon, completely amazed. I couldn't believe it. Lucky for me I was with one of my best friends (the sister of the one who first introduced me to Linkin Park) and she helped me calm down. Thanks to another of my friends I also got 3 free tickets that I gave to my two best friends and one of their boyfriends who's also a die hard LP fan.

Anywaaaaaay, October 7th FINALLY arrived. I worked during the morning so that I had the whole afternoon ahead of me to meet up with my friends and go to the show together. The thing was that we had to split because they had to go make the line (who's end was three blocks away from the stadium) and I had to wait on Gate 10 to be picked up by the LPU crew. Fortunately, while standing there waiting, three fellow LPU'ers from Peru approached me and we stayed together, I knew them from the forums but that was that. Then a friend from Uruguay arrived (also from the LPU but I knew him from way before) and we stayed there chatting. As if things weren't already awesome, Mark Fiore walked by right in front of us. And you wonder who Mark Fiore is, right? Nope, not one of the guys of Linkin Park.. he's the guy that takes video footage of them all the time and edits the LPTV and LPUTV videos for the respective websites. Also director of Given Up's video. A few months ago the LPU organized an LPU chat with him and he answered me a question, funny enough, I remember I asked him if he went with the guys on every tour lol (he answered that only to the important ones and shows like that). SO, we called him out, at first he only waved at us but then he came back and stayed with us chatting for like 15 minutes or so. He had his 'LP all access' card hanging from his belt and his awesome camera too. He was so nice to us! Chatting about everything and anything, we learned he does surf, and that his mom used to visit a certain city of Peru very often, we asked him about the show, if he knew anything about the new set up and stuff like that...and he told us that Brad and Chester now had a set of drums on stage for a certain song. We also asked him if he knew why they never ever played here before, and he also answered it. God, he even took a picture with us! When I was about to take a picture of his all access card the guys from Linkin Park Argentina (the official fan club here) arrived and kind of scared him away. :(

Like two hours later at around 8.30 pm they finally came to pick us up and take us to the M&G. They gave us this sticker to stick in our tshirts that said we were Guests from the LPU. I felt so important with it LOL. It was starting to feel real. We were all kind of amazed that it was actually happening. so they took as to an adjacent tent next to the stage where there was a mini stage with the table and 6 chairs lined up, lots of sharpies and water bottles. Around the tent was also a wii, catering food, some more tables with chairs, and get this: you'd think that being Linkin Park they would have an awesome cd player, or at least an iPod plugged in to some decent speakers. Nope. There was music in the back, the new record was playing. And they had an iPod plugged in to an old -very old- cd player, that looked very damaged too. It was funny and kinda embarrasing at the same time, like really? to an old cd player??? anyway, the LPU crew guys were amazing, very welcoming, they gave as an introduction speech to what we could and what we couldn't do (like, the guys could sign only one item to each of us, also no individual photos because of a matter of time) and they even made a quiz and gave away two tour tshirts, plus guitar picks (I've got 6 :D). Finally after 15 more minutes of aching wait the guys came up on our little stage (we were up there too). It was so surreal, I remember watching them come up, specially Mike since he was the one who was near me...I watched him with a huge grin on my face, I think he saw me and smiled. I thought I was dreaming guys. For real. It was amazing.

But that wasn't all. Oh no. My turn finally came and I was in front of Phoenix (the bassists for ya'll that aren't familiar with the band.) I took my From The Inside: Linkin Park's Meteora book for them to sign, there's a picture of them with a blank space under every shot that I think they especially made for fans to get it signed.. ahahaha. It's a big book, I was the only one with something as large as that, most of them took cd booklets or the first cd they put out when they were still called "Xero" back in '99. So I was standing next to Phoenix and I gave him the book, he signed it and asked me how I was and I literally answered "very very very very very good...*awkward silence* and you?" he said, "excited to play." and smiled :) I love him. Then Joe (the DJ) signed it, I said hi and he was like bleh, at the same time Brad (the guitarist, who was sitting next to him) extended his arm and signed the book. Which I thought was a bit lazy of him because then when I moved in front of him he had already signed my item so he gave me a tiny smile and looked the other way because there was a guy right after me who was getting his leg signed so he could get it tattoo'd later. Apparently that was more interesting. Anyways, Rob came next and he was a total sweetheart (the drummer), he even made me a joke! About the beard he had in the photo, he said that he was glad he shaved that beard because now he realized it looked horrible hahaha. I was so nervous that I wasn't really listening to him, I was just looking at him amazed. So I said "what?" and he said "shave" and he did as if he were shaving off his now much more normal beard. I love him too. Then was my turn to face Mr. Chester Bennington (the lead singer) and I think I melted, right there. There was a time when I thought he was hot, when I was younger...now not so much. I mean, I think his tattoos are hot, and sometimes in certain pics he looks pretty, also his whole rockstar attitude appeals me...but when I say I 'melted' I mean it in the way that it was freaking chester bennington, a guy who I been admiring and listening to since I was 12! Heck I even tried to make a mini chester out of dough once, no kidding!! I couldn't believe I had him in front of me!! Again, it was surreal. So he signed my book and I stared at his lovely signature, you guys, his signature is beautiful!! then I looked at him, shaked his hand and asked him if I could hive him a kiss on the cheek. Of course he said yes and lifted himself a bit from his chair. Oh my god, I wasn't sure if I would be able to talk in front of them and there I was, asking Chester if I could kiss him. AH MA ZING. I had already promised my friends that I wouldn't freeze or cry in front of them, so far I was doing a great job! Although when they first came in I have to admit I had to swallow those few tears that wanted to get out..but then I was okay. Except that my throat and mouth felt extremely dry. Last but not least, Mike (guitarist, rapper, singer, keyboardist, producer and artist) signed my book, and I asked him if he could make me a little drawing there :) he did. A skull. I knew he'd do something like that (see 'Diamonds Spades Hearts & Clubs' - http://www.mikeshinodaclan.sosugary.com/thumbnails.php?album=33), though I was expecting a person, like the one he drew over one of his guitars. The skull is awesome though, I'm not complaining. I also asked him if I could kiss him, I was more confident this time. They were all so nice to me that I can't complain. They truly are great guys. I was almost the last one so when they finished sigining the guy's leg they left. Only Chester and Mike stayed a few more minutes because people crowded them. I watched them and I couldn't believe it. I still couldn't understand how was it possible that I was right there with them. So I stepped aside and carefully put the book back inside my bag. Then I returned where they were and, I don't really know how this happened but I was close to Chester, I looked at him, he looked at me, smiled, and hugged me. HE HUGGED ME. Not me. HIM. HIM. CHESTER BENNINGTON. HIS TATTOO'ED WRISTS TOUCHED MY ARMS. I burnt inside with those tattoo'ed flames. And don't worry, my hand immediatly went around his waist, HE'S SO SKINNY!!! Oh and his face, his skin is so smooth. After that incredible moment which I don't know how it happened, I told him they should play one of the songs on the cookies cd (a 6 bizarre song cd he and mike made for the LPU 8 package) and he laughed and said "the cookies cd?? like Bubbles??" and I was like "yeah, BUBBLES!!! BUBBLES Please!!" I was so glad I made him laugh. And no, they did not played any of the songs of that cookies cd during the show. :(

Well, then more stuff happened. I went to the show and caught up with my friends, I told them and the 15 people around us about the M&G. I felt like a rockstar for a bunch of minutes. As soon as they entered the stage and wretches & Kings began I pushed myself into the crowd and tried to go as far as I could into the front but it was impossible. I kept my place for like 7 or 8 songs, until they played Faint (my all time favorite song) and then I backed out because A) I was suffocating and B) I lost my cell in the middle of the pogo. Granted, I couldn't find my friends until the show was over and I was outside the stadium. I met this guy, Dany, cute and very cool. Who lend me his cell phone to call my mom and try to reconnect with my friends.. :D A few weeks later he invited me out but we never agreed on a day and now he changed his facebook status to 'in a relationship.' Yeah, meeting a future date on my first linkin park show wasn't going to happen all that easy right?

And this is the review of the day in which I met the guys of Linkin Park. I can't believe it actually happened. I dreamed with this so many times that...*sigh* I'm speechless. I'm glad they are nice peeps and not jerks. I'm glad my brother payed me the LPU membership. I'm glad they finally came to play here. I'm glad they exist. :)

thanks for reading this guys, it was a very important day for me. This was a dream come true for me and I'll never forget it.

Now some pics for you to enjoy:

On the last couple of weeks I've been trying to catch up with all the awesome shows that I left behind, except Bones, right? 'Cause I wouldn't miss an episode of Bones for ANYTHING.

First of all, I added 30 ROCK to my list of awesome shows, because I felt I was srsly missing something big by not watching it and OMG was I right! IT IS PURE GENIUS!! I laughed so hard with some of the episode, an honest laugh. Tina Fey you guys... she's amaaaaaaaaazing! I have so many favorite moments already that I can't even list them but a few that I always remember are Liz playing princess Leia to get out of Jury Duty, and failing the second time! Kenneth's fangirling over the cast of "Night Court," PETE WITH A WIG!, Jack's video on how to say "NO" to your mom, Tracy's 10 seconds of "Warewolf Bar Mitzvah" (spooky scary, boys becoming men, men becoming wolves), AND (every time I put the "AND" I remember a few more) Jenna with overweight on S2, or Jenna impersonating Janis Joplin, or the Dealbreakers episode in which Jack gives Lemon a make over and she ends up literally crying a river. OMG WAIT, Dr. Spaceman! See?? I can't even stop naming awesome stuff from this show!! Enough. You get the point, I love it! 8D

On to my list of shows I've been catching up with: Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Lie To Me, HIMYM, Fringe and Greek.

Glee - Is awesome as usual. The last episode with the couple of original songs was pretty amazing! I liked that they focused on their issues with Sue to write one of them. Sue, I don't remember in which of the last episodes was but I love it when she goes all nuts throwing stuff at people and people at stuff when they take the cheerios from her. That music they put in the background of those scenes, like it's the end of the world, brilliant. And "Blame it on the alcohol" might be one of my favorite episodes.

Grey's Anatomy - Episode 7x15 "Golden Hour" reminded me of ER so much that it hurt. Don't ask me why, I just know that while I was watching it I felt as if Neela or Abby were going to suddenly appear on my screen. Other than that, it was good, very good. Torres definitely gets the best quotes, like "Don't wait until this kids gets out looking all Sloney" or "Don't yell at me, I'm a hormone cacerole," and my favorite, that she's having and extra vote for her vagina. Oh yes, and Christina making feel Avery bad after he told her that she may not be suitable to scrub in because of her recent actions...and owning the surgery. HA! Take that Avery! :P

Lie To Me - I have only one comment about LTM. Why the hell wirters/producers keep killing/injuring Mekhi Phifer's characters (first ER when Pratt died, now on LTM where Reynolds get's shot at.) I liked Reynolds!! Why did the had to make him go away like that? It's kind of like when Goodman took that Sabbatical on BONES and never came back. Well, at least with Reynolds we know he's working behind a desk. Right? Grrrrrrrr. I don't like it. Over all I'm fine with the show, I like all episodes and Kelli/Foster keeps owning my heart <3 And, BTW, I wasn't expecting that final question from Emily on "Killer App." You know, even though I think Lightman acts pretty much like a douche on every single episode and even more with Foster at times, I do think they should end up together because... I don't know, I just like it!

Fringe - OMG. There's so much going on in this show to discuss!!! (Fact is, I talked so much over twitter while I was watching the episodes that a friend almost got mad at me because I was tweeting too many spoilers D: but she had already watched the episodes anyway) Personally, I loved what they did with the intro on "Subject 13," and it was an amazing episode. The only thing that got me thinking was that, Peter & Olivia were what? 13 years old or something, right? How on earth do none of them remember each other? I mean, Olivia running away and then Peter finding her...it is pretty big thing for a kid that age not to remember! And how on earth Peter didn't remember at all the whole I-know-I-was-abducted thingy (even if he then accepted the fact that due to his illness he was confused)? I didn't doubted this in the past because they always showed us a much younger Olivia. But at that age? How can she not remember Walter? I still remember my teachers and their face from when I was 6!! Am I the only one who finds this strange??

Greek - I'm SO sad that it got cancelled! I watched their last episode last night and I swear I almost cried while they where demolishing KT's house. I really really enjoyed the show. A lot. Final thoughts on the show? Evan has been a douche since S1 so it doesn't surprise me that he still was one with Rebecca at the end and with Casey when they were classmates in Law school. Ashleigh/Rusty was something I always thought it had to happen, in the back of my mind. I wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not but, having the feeling of them together at least for half an episode made me realize that maybe it is okay. Carisma Carpenter making an appearance early in this 4th and last season was awesome (some part of me stills misses Angel, even though I watched it not more than 2 years ago).  Oh and, "All about Beav" epsiode was also amazing. Walter. LOL. And talking real names, the moment Ashleigh uncovers Cappie's degree and realizes his real name on the last episode... I instantly thought that something like this could happen in Bones, you know, with us not knowing Angela's real name and all. If those bastards make me wait till the last episode of Bones to know Angela's name...I will laugh. And I will say "I told you so" to my own self. Anyway, sad but happy with Greek's ending.

I still have a bunch of shows to catch up with. First comes Castle, I'm on episode 3x06. Then I'll have to decide between Warehouse 13, Southland or Parenthood. I KNOW, how did I do to watch all these shows? See why I have to catch up? I can't keep up with all of them at the same time! And a friend agreed to watch 30 Rock if I watch Parks and Recreations... one more show to add to the list. I can't live like this! (But I love it!)

PS: I remembered one more scene from 30 ROCK that I love, when we get to see the world through Kenneth's eyes.

This one is easy, Yesterday. Because in the 2006 Grammy Awards, Linkin Park performed Numb/Encore with Jay-Z on stage, and at the very end, they played Yesterday and Paul McCartney appeared and sang with Chester, while Jay-Z uh-huh'ed on the back. It was so awesome. I remember I was watching it live through my tv.

Politics & Friendship do not mix.

I'm not a politic person AT ALL, I mean, I barely talk about politics and I know little about it compared to others. I have my views, sure, like everyone else. Because it's impossible not to have views about it (specially this year), but I don't know much to be arguing or defending the candidates I'm for or against. So when my best friend, who knows that I don't like talking about politics (mainly because SHE KNOWS we COMPLETELY disagree (!) ) starts questioning me about my views, it pisses me off to say the least. It's a mixture of anger and confusion.

It's not just her, it's her boyfriend too. And every single person who's against the political party that I (and lot's of other Argentinians) agree with.

This is a very special year for Argentina because in October we are having presidential elections. Also, the majority of the provinces are electing their governors as we speak (last week it was Santa Fe, next week Cordoba, this past Sunday Buenos Aires, and so on...). In the case of Buenos Aires we had to vote twice because we use a Two-Round system (commonly known as ballotage). On Sunday we had the second and final round to decide who was going to be the Mayor of Buenos Aires City. It was between Macri, the actual Mayor (who was in the run for a reelection, and won) and Filmus (who's the same party as our president and who also was the Secretary of Education, Science & Tecnology from 2003-2007.)

I don't care for whom your are voting!! Do whatever pleases you, vote, throw your vote to the trash, I don't care!! (It doesn't mean I like it, but I respect it) but don't come about judging my views as if I'm the only alien voting for Candidate X when he's obviously going to win the elections (he did win) and the party you voted for got less than 2%! You say big ugly words that I'm sure you don't even fully comprehend when talking about Candidate X, because you heard your boyfriend talking like that and you want to sound smart and like you know it all, but really? You sound like a jackass. Talking trash about the opposite candidate just because. Why can't you have a normal opinion? I'm not against you saying "look, I don't like him because he said he would do this and he didn't/he thinks like this and I don't share it/etc" that's fine. But trash talking? name calling? that's just low.

And taking this shit to Facebook? even lower. I don't go around Facebook creating notes titled "Why do you vote for Candidate X?" and taggin you. BTW, I didn't even read the note because I know for a fact that it must be full of attacks to my views and name calling. Or updating my facebook status with "If you voted for candidate X you're no longer my friend/you are an ignorant/you are a piece of shit," to provoke those who don't think like you and later leave a comment saying that "it was a joke and you can't recognize sarcasm." I don't get it. Just now I was browsing the News Feed on Facebook and there they were, her boyfriend complaining about how Macri used a song from a known national band (which apparently is against Macri's beliefs) while celebrating the win at their party. It was a party for god's sake! IT'S JUST A STUPID SONG!!! That's what I don't understand, why do they have to complain about every single detail!! (apparently the band sent an intimation to Macri about it...). People is dying of hunger in this country and these people are more concerned about what song is Macri using or not using! Suck it up buttercup, he won and your stupid intimation won't change that!!

On Sunday my best friend's sister calls me. She's like "Sofi, have you talked to Anto (my best friend)? Because she's all pissed off about the elections and I told her I voted for Candidate X, then I told my grandma I voted for the other candidate just to piss them off." I hadn't talked to Anto so I told her so, and she was all "good, don't tell her but what I actually did was to grab Candidate X's ticket and I cut it down to pieces and put it all inside my envelope." She was so proud about it and I was so horrified that I could only listen to her, words escaped my mind. "You voted for Candidate X right?" I told her that yes and I promised I would not tell Anto about what she did. It's funny because when we were talking she said that she "Revoked" her vote and in fact, that's not what she did, she voted for "None of the above." SO SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING WAS CALLED!! THAT'S IGNORANCE!! I wanted to kill her.

Anyway, this is a pressing issue that has me pretty concerned. She's my best friend and I don't want the stupid politics to get in our way, but when she starts talking about it and attacking the things agree with it's just so upsetting!! I don't care what she believes in, it's completely opposite to me and I don't understand it, but like I said, I RESPECT IT! I don't go around insulting her. Because even if she doesn't directly say it to me, she does through her stupid comments on facebook.

:(

ETA: I kept thinking about this through the week and I came to the realization that the word it's immature! She's acting like and immature child, not willing to accept that people have different opinions and bashing them for it. It makes me so sad, and it has me so concerned!

Hello, my name is Sofi...

Hello, my name is Sofi, I'm 21 years old and I'm addicted to live shows.

LOL

No, seriously, look at this:

February 24th - Paramore

July 1st - Carajo (a band from here)
July 24th - Avril Lavigne (that one was a surprise because I wasn't planning on going, I'm not a fan but I enjoy her music. A friend of my brother gave him two tickets the same day of the show and he called me, and It went with a friend)
July 27th - Yellowcard (BEST SHOW EVER, and lucky for me it was the second time I saw them live!!)

August 31st - Red Hot Chili Peppers Live transmision from Germany (it's going to be broadcasted in selected theatres worldwide)

September 2nd - Carajo (yes, again.)
September 11th - Sum 41 + Four Year Strong + Attack Attack (Family Day Festival)
September 18th - Red Hot Chili Peppers

October 5th - System Of A Down
October 26th - MXPX

November 4th - The Strokes (Personal Fest)
November 20th - Britney Spears (DON'T JUDGE)

And there are a bunch of bands/artists I would also like to see live (but don't have enough money...yet): Chris Cornell, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Snow Patrol and Katy Perry (yes, your sight is just fine.)

I wouldn't mind having a bit more money so I wouldn't have to spend my whole paycheck on live shows...but what can I say? It's addictive. Music is a big part of me and I enjoy live shows so much!! Specially when bands or artists that I know it may be the one and only time that I'll get to see live come.
I may be a bit out of my mind, but it makes me so happy!!

Manolo

After I came back from Fort Lauderdale, a week later to be precise, my cat (Manolo) fell ill and 10 days later he passed away.

It's been almost two months and God, I'm still so sad. I can't even think about it without crying :(

The fact that the internet is filled with cats in every form and shape doesn't help at all. I feel this emptiness inside that I can't get rid of, it's crazy. Fucking cats and their fucking short life. He was 14, and I know that's a lot for a cat, but I felt he was almost like a brother to me. And he left us so suddenly, he gave up so quickly, we tried everything, and he just gave up. I hate that. I hate that he gave up, we loved him so much. Shit. :'(

I wasn't prepared at all.

We took him to the emergency vet one night because we noticed he was drinking too much water, doing weird noises and most of all cold, he was really really cold. From that point, it took him ten fucking days to go. The vet diagnosed him with diabetes (he was obese). And his glucose levels were doing all kinds of crazy stuff, going up and down with every hour. He had to be hospitalized. The main thing here is that he just let go and gave up on eating, which was fundamental if he wanted to recover. This way his organs begun to shut down slowly and the fat took over them, his kidneys, the liver. On the morning of April 9th the vet called me and told me he was having problems breathing and that I should go right away because he didn't know how much time he was going to last. A few days after we decided that if this moment came we didn't want them to do any kind of CPR on him, because we realized that he just wanted to go. And even if they can't talk, he made sure we got that. So I went as soon as I could, but it was too late. I couldn't be there with him on that moment and I just hate myself for that. I called my mom, but she was at work on the other side of the city so it took her like an hour or so to get to the "hospital". I was with him for an hour and he was so peaceful. He had been hooked to IV's and even a nasogastric tube to feed him for the past 10 days, poor thing he just wanted to be free of those things, I guess he thought that was the way.

We buried him in the back yard of the house of a friend of my mom's who lives near the hospital. It's somewhat nice to know he's there.
The next night rained a lot, and I remember I felt the urge to go and (I know it's weird) dig him out to cover him from the rain. I couldn't believe what was happening, so I guess that was why I had that sudden urge. As if he knew it was raining over him... God.

To make things even worst, the next day my best friend's grandma passed away too. The shittiest two days in a row in a loooong time.
